Ready to pick your side? Gold vs Oil is a free demo trading contest from Headway where traders can compete for a share of a prize pool worth up to $3,150—with an extra 50% prize bonus if your chosen team wins.

How to Participate

Registration runs from August 17 to September 8, 2026, with trading taking place from August 24 at 13:00 MT to September 7 at 13:00 MT.

To join:

1. Register through Headway’s official contest page and click “Join now.”
2. Trade using the contest’s $10,000 virtual demo balance.
3. Compete on MT5 using 1:500 leverage and trade gold or oil.
4. Check the final leaderboard in your Personal Area on September 8.
5. If you win, your prize can be withdrawn according to the applicable contest rules.

Because this is a demo contest, no real money is at risk during trading.

The Prizes

The top 10 traders will receive:

• 1st place: $1,000
• 2nd place: $500
• 3rd place: $200
• 4th place: $100
• 5th–10th places: $50 each

And there’s an added twist: if your chosen team wins, you receive a 50% bonus on your prize.

Important Notes & Terms

Participation is free and generally open worldwide to clients aged 18 or older, subject to local laws. Each participant may register only once; multiple registrations, prohibited manipulation, and fraudulent activity can result in disqualification.

Winners are determined according to the contest’s published performance criteria, and the contest account balance must be higher than its initial balance to qualify for a prize. Demo accounts cannot be used for deposits, withdrawals, or transfers.

Headway reserves the right to modify contest conditions, suspend or terminate the contest, or disqualify participants who breach the rules. Participants are also responsible for any applicable tax or regulatory obligations related to their winnings.
