This initiative provides a fully risk-free demo environment, enabling verified clients to practice trading strategies, explore XM’s dedicated competition platform, and build confidence without risking real funds.
The session attracted 94 participants, with 83 active traders and 11 reaching the max loss threshold, highlighting growing interest in structured demo trading competitions.
What Is a Free Practice Competition?
A Free Practice competition is a short-duration demo trading challenge that:
- Requires no entry fee
- Offers no prizes
- Is designed purely for practice and platform familiarization
- Simulates real-time market conditions using virtual funds
These sessions help participants explore how competitions work on XM’s portal and offer an ideal environment for learning and improving trading performance.

- Entry Fee: Free
- Initial Equity: $1,000 (demo)
- Max Loss Threshold: $800 (20% of highest equity)
- Leverage: 100:1
- Account Type: Standard
- Platform: XM Competitions Portal only (MT4/MT5 and EAs not supported)
- Eligibility: Verified clients aged 18+
How to Join:
- Ensure your account is verified and you are at least 18 years old
- Open the competition card and read the full rules via the information tooltip
- Accept the Terms & Conditions and click “Start Competing”
How It Works:
- Trading Portal: All trading is done via XM’s dedicated competitions portal
- Trading Actions: Open/close positions, apply stop-loss and take-profit levels
- Performance Ranking Formula:
Performance = (EquityCurrent – EquityInitial) / EquityInitial
Higher equity = higher rank - Max Loss Disqualification:
If your equity falls more than 20% below your highest recorded equity, your account is disqualified
Example:- Max Equity: $1,250
- Current Equity: $1,000
- Drop = -25% → Disqualified
